The card can be used for smart card payment of parking charges in paid parking zones of city district Prague 1, 2, 3 and 7. In this case, the card serves as a carrier of prepaid electronic parking vouchers.
Before parking
Before the card is used to pay for parking, it is necessary to credit it with vouchers that can be purchased at Opencard contact points. You can have your card credited with an amount between 100 and 2000 czk.
Transaction process
Your card will be credited by contact point staff, who will afterwards issue two copies of proof of payment. One copy you will sign and one will be given to you. We recommend keeping the document in case of any later complaints.
You can add credit amounts to previous ones, but the entire amount can never be less than CZK 100 and more than CZK 2000. You can use your card for payments of parking meter charges only if there is sufficient balance. For up-to-date information on your balance, visit selected contact points.
Parking meters that accept Opencard are marked with the Opencard logo. Insert the card into the parking meter; choose the length of parking time, and the meter will deduct the corresponding amount from the card.
The price corresponds to the tariff of the individual paid parking zone. After the transaction is carried out, the parking meter will automatically issue a parking ticket.
